Fun Facts
If you were anything other than a professor, what would you be and why?
I'm quite convinced that I have the best job in the world, and I know this because
I've had quite a few other ones, including Duckmaster at the Little Rock Peabody Hotel,
house painter, barista, and Christian heavy metal radio DJ.
What other facts do you like to share with others about yourself?
I've also published an illustrated children's book, "Gladys the Grayish Green Dragon,"
which my children rate "not as good as Harry Potter."
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I'm not grading papers or reading, you'll likely find me - or not find me, which
is kind of the point - out on my bike (both road and mountain, and one of these days
I'll add a gravel bike to the stable), rock climbing, or hiking with my wife and two
kiddos, Serena and Thomas.
