Safe Destination Program
One of the programs we do to further our commitment to student safety is known as The Safe Destination program provides students with a safety escort 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Occasions to utilize this program include:
- Feeling unsafe to walk back to your dorm/apartment alone after a late-night study session on campus.
- Feeling unsafe walking to your destination from a remote parking lot.
- Car trouble that may leave you stranded somewhere on campus.
- Any other situation in which you are worried about safety.
Please note that this program is not a taxi service and should not be used for a free
ride. Officers may walk with you to a destination rather than give you a ride depending
on the location.
How to Request an Officer
Requesting this service is easy. Simply call the safety office at 870-245-4000 and notify them of your current location and where you would like to go. Officers will stay on the phone with you until they arrive.
