Parking
In an effort to effectively facilitate parking for all students, faculty, staff and visitors, Ouachita Baptist University parking lots are divided into various zones.
Zone 1
This parking zone is for all Frances Crawford Hall residents. They are designated with blue parking signs at the entrance to each lot, and students must have a blue parking decal on their vehicle to park here.
The zone includes all parking spaces behind Cone-Bottoms Hall and Riley-Hickingbotham
Library, the lower parking lot to the north of Frances Crawford Hall, and all the
spaces in front of and behind Frances Crawford East and Frances Crawford West.
Zone 2
This parking zone is designated for all of the residents living in Flippen-Perrin, Georgia Hickingbotham, Susie Everett Hall and Maddox Halls. They are designated with purple parking signs at the entrance to each lot, and students must have a purple parking decal on their vehicle to park here.;
This zone includes all parking spaces behind Maddox Hall, Verser Theatre and Jones
Performing Arts Center.
Zone 3
This parking zone is designated for all of the residents living in O.C. Bailey and Anthony Halls. Lots in this zone are designated by yellow parking signs and students must have a yellow parking decal to park here.
This zone includes parking spaces behind O.C. Bailey, between O.C. Bailey and Anthony,
and south of Anthony (across from Moses-Provine Hall).
Zone 4
This parking zone is designated for all Tollett Hall and Gosser Hall residents. Lots in this zone are designated by orange parking signs and students must have an orange parking decal to park here.
This zone includes all parking spaces surrounding Tollett, all parking spaces surrounding
Gosser and the parking lot across from Gosser along University Drive.
Zone 5
This parking zone is designated for all commuter students, which includes those living in university apartments/houses and off-campus commuting students. Lots in this zone are designated by green parking signs and students must have a green parking decal to park there.
Parking for this zone includes the spaces behind Jones Science Center and Moses-Provine
Hall, along 5th street between Jones Performing Arts Center and Jones Science Center, across from
Moses-Provine Hall on Ouachita Street and the lots behind the Sturgis Physical Education
Center and Tiger Den.
Zone 6
Parking for this zone is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. This is a great (and free) parking option for people arriving on campus to cheer on the Ouachita Tigers at various sporting events!
Parking for this zone includes the two parking lots along 8th street below Sturgis Physical Education Center.
Unmarked Zones
All other undesignated parking along Ouachita Street and Campus Drive are designated for faculty, staff and visitors. Please refer to the parking map below for reference.
Parking Violations
Parking violations are enforced by our service officers Mondays–Fridays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Violations include:
- No current decal
- Improper display of decal (located somewhere other than bottom left corner of rear windshield)
- Parking in incorrect lot/zone
- Parking in a reserved parking space
- Parking across lines/taking up more than one parking space
- Parking where there is not a parking space
- Parking in a loading zone
- Parking on a sidewalk
- Parking in a no parking zone
- Parking in a handicapped spot*
- Parking in a fire lane*
*All non-police related parking citations issued by the campus police department are subject to a $20 fine for the second offense with the amount increasing each additional offense. However, handicapped and fire lane parking are subject to a $75 fine for the first offense.
